Robin F. Bond, Esq.
Robin Bond, Esquire is a dynamic and versatile attorney with substantial and wide-ranging experience as a corporate counsel, private practitioner and entrepreneur. She is the founder of Transition Strategies, LLC. Throughout her 23-year career, Robin has been actively involved in thousands of deals, helping her clients get what they want by providing the right strategic advice, coaching and supportive written materials that close complex deals in a win-win manner.
She also successfully started Corporate Counsel on Call, LLC, a division of Transition Strategies, LLC that provides specialized labor and employment guidance and direction to small companies about contracts, policies, hiring and firing, and dispute resolution.
Robin's expertise evolved by working with varied and diverse constituencies. She began her career as an Air Force attorney, prosecuting criminal cases and then serving as a legal advisor to the Air Force Surgeon General's Staff. Following two in-house counsel positions, she was recruited to become the legal counsel for Hahnemann Hospital, a 750-bed tertiary care nonprofit healthcare organization and medical school in Philadelphia, where she had responsibility for oversight and coordination of legal functions from 1994-1997. Robin was also recognized nationally as an expert in medical staff matters, and is the author of a West publication on that topic. While in-house counsel, she served as lead attorney on numerous major merger and acquisition, information systems, and real estate deals; reviewed, negotiated and drafted employment and other organizational contracts; managed and conducted internal investigations of allegations of wrongful conduct, and was a trusted advisor to the hospital's senior management staff.
Robin is distinguished by her talent for communicating about legal issues in an understandable and accessible manner, and gaining closure where it has proven elusive. These abilities have helped Robin create a media presence as a workplace legal commentator for Court TV national television and radio programs, a workplace legal contributor to Beyond.com, the largest provider of career content to more than 11,000 niche websites, and a variety of other media endeavors. She has been cited as a national authority on employment law matters in articles in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The New York Post, Forbes, The Boston Globe, The Detroit Free Press, salon.com, monster.com, and careerbuilder.com, among others. In addition to her media work, Robin is a frequent public speaker, providing informative yet entertaining educational programs about the workplace to business people, physicians, attorneys and other professionals.
Robin's business savvy, communications talents, "can do" attitude, and excellent people skills, have earned her the respect and trust of clients, colleagues and adversaries, and the designation as one of Philadelphia's Women of Distinction for 2006.
A native of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Robin received her B.A. degree Phi Beta Kappa with High Distinction from Indiana University, Bloomington, in journalism, with a minor in business administration. She earned her J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Texas (inactive). She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources designation, and is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
